The short version: I have started a new job (still with Northeast), Daniel has left and returned again, I was bitten by a dog, Addie Talley came and took pictures and more pictures, and my girls are still growing up before my eyes. A little more detail: I am now working 25 hours a week and loving it so far. I am still floating around without a desk, computer or phone most of the time, but that is just something that will workout in time. I work with 16-21 year olds in Tippah and Tishomingo Counties. I have resources available to help them get their GED. I think it will be alot of fun. Daniel got back Friday night from a week in Texas. They had a great trip, but I'm sure glad to have him home for awhile. This next weekend he is going to St. Louis, but I get to go on that one! I was walking in my neighborhood with Bailey Reese in her stroller and a dog that normally comes up to me growling, but I still thought was harmless, ran straight to my leg and chomped through my pants and the skin. If this every happens to you, the protocal is to file a police report and call the health department. I went to get a tetanus shot and they called for me. I went to talk to the dog's owner and he was kind of put out that I was talking to him. I wanted to make sure that the dog had it's shots, because I needed to get a few more if he didn't. If your dog ever bites someone, maybe it is a good idea to be concerned. I was pretty upset when I left his house. It could have been my four month old and he didn't care. If he had acted with some kind of concern maybe I wouldn't have called the police like everyone told me that I was supposed to. I love Addie's pictures so I recommended her to a few friends in Corinth. Addie, you are a trooper. She shot a wedding Friday, which is intense, and then spent the next two days in the heat taking family pictures. She did a great job, and while we all understand that she took so many pictures and we totally understand that it will take her a little while to get them back to us, we are so excited to get them. Thanks, Addie!! |
